Using only a ballpoint pen to create her beautiful drawings, Brancowitz creates illustrations with a primary color pallet from the early 80s filled with subjects that look a lot like they are pining away for that era: despondent youths eating ramen, smoking cigarettes, chilling at the coffee shop.
Growing up in France and spending much of her time exploring music and painting, it’s no wonder Brancowitz has such an eye for her current style. She later honed her skills as she studied illustration, screen printing & lithography at the School of Arts & Graphics Industries, in Ecole Estienne. Her linear work mostly lacks shading and instead relies on a near contour-line like approach which hides nothing. This gives her works a crisp look with rich detail worth exploring.
